Price on Second Cat Back for 135i?

Recommended Posts

Hi there

Been checking out a secondhand 135i coupe

One issue I have is the guy has removed the second catback.

Just wanna know if anyone knows what the price on this would be to put it back in terms of parts + labour

I was looking @ http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?mo...hg=18&fg=10

but couldn't really find an individual price...

all I know is that as he said "second cat removed"

so if anyone could advise what the cost would be to return this to standard by putting the second cat back in?

The first cats are the control cats, it has pre cat & after cat sensors. The second cats are a part of the centre system and cannot be bought seperately.

Oh great i see..

What would you advise. Would it still be able to get a Protecta warranty / insurance without it?

Protecta may say no...ask them. Some warranty companies wont let you remove them

Great thanks I'll get in touch with the BMW dealership / owner tomorrow and see what they say

Fingers crossed :|

PS: Where would I be best to look if i

a. wanted to buy a stock midpipe for cheaper than from BMW dealer

or

b. wanted to find someone who's upgraded their exhaust and still has the old exhaust pipe

Cheers!
