Im actually surprised people use Trademe message boards!

There's a few guys on there that are pretty clued up.

But most of it is for entertainment value only lol.

Gotta love that word when used in that type of phrase "ahhhh ya muppet" or "what a muppet" love it. Have not heard that for years.

What a douche.

BMW know absolutely nothing about engineering and designing cars. Thats why the backwards cap wearing crowd that talk in text speak, and wear their trousers down around their ankles have to 'modify ' these vehicles.

Similarly, I hope this is nobody here either

visit my ... ahem ... auction

I have NEVER EVER got down to 7 or 8 litres per 100km. The best I have achieved is high 9's! And I love the fact the tyres are way too small for the car (10%)

LOL thats bs about his 7 - 8l/100km.... the best ive done at motorway is high 9's as well.. and total average 12.9l/100km.

well probably hes talking about idle rolling the car in motorway traffic LOL... ive done idle rolling doing 30km/h on a flat piece of motorway.

The guy can't even read his door card properly. E38's have never come out on 245/60R16's.. Oh well - I guess you just can't help some people.

He seems pretty thick, or just REALLY REALLY pig ignorant.

I just went and checked my door sticker for a NZ new E38 1999 740. 245 is a standard width on a 740 - in 55% profile though - not 60%. 235/60/16 is the other standard size. He seems to have mixed them up to get a mythical standard 245/60/16.

I'm running 245/40ZR20 on my 740 on they only just clear - and the diameter is 6mm less than his, and 10mm narrower. I run decent Dunlop SP01A tyres on mine and at $800 a corner to replace you can be sure I made sure they didn't rub BEFORE I drove them.

Oh look who is selling 22x9 alloys and 255/30/22 Triangle tyres.

Great to see he was putting top quality rubber on his car - thats exactly the sort of tyres i want in a car that can do 240kph and weighs 2 ton.

^ Wow can you get an uglier wheel for a E38, looks like something a transformer would roll on. What a tool.
