Grant 4 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 I was going to resist contibuting to this thread but... I am voting Labour (for the first time I might add, previously I have voted for my National Candidate and given ACT my party vote. However my view of the world has changed somewhat over the last few years. Call me a socialist, or a lefty, but Labour is the best option in my opinion. That doesn't mean to say that I don't find some metir is some of National's policies, but on the whole they are still in a mess, and in no way capable of running a country. I also think that Helen Clark has been a good leader while at the helm. I particularly think that her stance and subsequent action over Iraq was brilliant. Ditto with the reaction to the Tsunami, our generosity will pay dividends in the future. What would make me happy is if the Greens and Labour had a big falling out, I am not a fan of the Greens at all. I would like to also point out that I choose to drive an E30 (they are much more fun that most newer cars, and are a better drivers car).......and shock horror am in the top tax bracket.... Brash is a monkey, with no substance, sure he has some financial management ability, but that is only one small part of running a country. Grant 4 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 Michael, we drive bimmers, 'nuff said! Sam, that is completely irrelevant, BMW's are hardly the most expensive cars on the planet, nor are they status symbols, they are just plain good cars, nothing more or nothing less.Cheers

Successful people drive BMW's. They're a status symbol. FACT. Did the eighties miss you completely? Why are there so many damned E30's around? Look around remuera, what is the most prevailant car for the upper middle class?Helen's stance was just icing on the cake after her lies about Afganistan. Why are there so many damned E30's around? Look around remuera, what is the most prevailant car for the upper middle class? I am an eighties child, and things have changed a lot since then. One thing that has changed is that BMW's are no longer seen as status symbols. What was the story 20 years ago is no longer the story now. Boy racers, middle aged people trying to rel-ive their percieved successes from 20 years ago, and actual enthusiasts (the category that thankfully most of us fall into) tend to drive BMW's now, rather than successful people.
