tire 10 Report post Posted July 10, 2010 So I'm in the process of redoing my sump gasket and it is urethaned on. I cant break the seal by prying at it with a screwdriver or by hitting it with a hammer via a block of wood, so how do I do it? ps. the reason I have to redo it is I used meths to clean the surfaces last time, and since meths is oil based the urethane didn't make a perfect seal so it weeps slightly. Thanks.

tire 10 Report post Posted July 11, 2010 Got it. Trick was to hold constant pressure on it and eventually the urethane stretches and breaks. Thanks to Glenn for the tip.
