dickhead 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2010 Failed a wof on 2002 M3 because of airbag light being on. My uncle had the same problem in his passat and hit some sequence of dials and it reset it turning it off. Can this be done on the M3? worth a try haha
hotwire 352 Report post Posted September 1, 2010 It has come on for a reason so get it scanned & fix the problem properly. Even if reset - it is only masking the problem until it reoccurs.
Lucan 196 Report post Posted September 1, 2010 (edited) I was told kneeling on the seats can break(?) them. So the sensor may need to be fixed/replaced. Or could just be a fuse, swapping a fuse out fixed the Airbag light problem in my last E36 before I sold it. E: you'll have to get it diagnosed anyways.
