E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 OT and out of curiousity. Why don't you run a power rack without the pump as they are a quicker ratio than the manual racks?? Girly fore-arms maybe??
CaM 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 I dont think it's warrantable to have a p/s rack unhooked, that's probably the reason, so he can get through certs and sh*t.... I think without hydraulic pressure, some racks have a pit of play in them which would hold you back too...
Carl 3 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 OT and out of curiousity. Why don't you run a power rack without the pump as they are a quicker ratio than the manual racks?? Girly fore-arms maybe?? The power rack ratio is only slightly smaller than the manual rack ratio, 4.2 to 4.1 or something very similar to that, insignificant really.
downlow 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2005 NO because you cant get certifed with a power steer rack not running a pump, and because im running a rotary motor i have after market big ass 55ml pullys an belts and would be more hassel trying to get another pully for my p.s pump plus having to get a longer belt. Thats why iv gone with non power steering because in the long run its easyer , and the pump decreases power from your motor, about 5 to 10% on rotarys,
