concreteman 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2010 Hi all Just bought my 2001 E38 a couple of weeks ago. I really like the wheels that came on it (fresh jap import), i have seen a few online that are similar, but not the same. tyres are 275 x 35 x 19 rear and 255 x 30 x 19 on front. 1) wondering what they are (rims)??? 2) looking for something very similar for my wifes E39 525I Motorsport (really want chrome finish). She currently has M sport wheels 17". 3) Also looking for definitive advice. I bought my car from a dealer, the tyres are perishing (fine cracks between the tread). Should it have passed a WOF. is the car yard obligated to replace them? It's a shame because they have plenty of tread left, though they are wearing on the inside edge. 4) what $$$ would I be looking for to replace the tyres? zenetti 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2010 (edited) Can you please double check your sizes? In your other post which I have answered you have put down different sizes again. The correct size tyres for your car are 245/40R19 on the front and 275/35R19 on the rear. I am also not quite sure how your car can be a "fresh import" as I am pretty sure the emissions laws stopped these cars from coming in quite some time ago? Anyone have prices for replacements? Wohoo! Unfortunately they are the wrong size for your 7 series. On the plus side they are perfect for the E39! The correct size on your 7 (just like mine) is 245/40/19 and 275/35/19. I will have a hunt around and see what I can find for you. What is most important to you when you look for a tyre?
