E36 - M44 - Camshaft Sensor replacement

Hi Guys, the three pin plug on the end of the camshaft sensor for an M44 E36 1900 engine; where is the socket for it? Away up under the inlet manifold?? How do you get to it? Do you have to take the manifold off??

best to unbolt the top half of the inlet manifold , unless you have a 3 year olds hands you can borrow:)
