[email protected] 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2010 i own a 1990 525i se e34 i am having problems with the clutch it seems to be leaking fluid i changed the master cylinder and that fixed it for a couple of days then it started to leak again so i changed the slave cylinder and the rubber hose from the resivour to the master cylinder and it still seems to leak the leak apears to be from underneath the gearbox/clutch area i have looked at the copper lines and they seem fine any ideas?????? please help i miss driving Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
*Glenn* 854 Report post Posted September 14, 2010 If the leak is coming from the bell housing, it can only be the slave cylinder that is leaking. If there is a problem with the clutch the slave cylinder may be working outside it's limits and leaking from the piston. Unbolt the slave cylinder and see if there is any fluid coming out of the cylinder where the pushrod goes in. It may just be a faulty cylinder.
