I am totally new here...and a noob when it comes to cars ..all i know is that i love my BMW (recently upgraded from a 520i 1996 to a 735il 2000)... I would like some help...just went for a WOF and found out that my front left shocks was leaking... could you please help me out with a price estimate..for front and rear shocks (with installation)...i am on a budget... i have been to a few garages...but the price varies to much...(depends on whether i want new or 2nd hand, only replace 1 or both, etc) Thank you everyone Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Thank you Zenetti and Eagle...sounds like a plan....its not like i use the EDC anyway...with a Speed limit of 100kmph and great roads in New Zealand (compared to the country i come from)... I was reading from the other posts that KYB is relatively cheap and good (compared to Monroe)... Any suggestions...(i am still on a budget) Zenetti: If i do away with the EDC, any qoutes from you? Eagle 1661 Report post Posted September 20, 2010 KYB's are ok, the shock dampening is quite firm compared to stock and wont last anywhere as long but ok if your on a budget i guess. P&H suspension in Hamilton gave me a quote of 2k for kyb's funnily enough, probably get them a little cheaper but 1.5k for boges is a very good price.
