Yes that is a phone ...

I use a fair amount of the PDA functions on the phone ..

The other option i have is the Nokia 7710 ...

They are both priced around the $1300 NZD mark ... Nokia costs a bit more tho ..

iMate make pretty good phone, the OS is a bit clumsy though.

Sure, it look like Windows. But a lot of the things are actually quite different.

Also, it's a PDA/phone but more towards a PDA

Screen size like that usually means crap battery life, get a car charger!

If you want to pay that much money, why not look at some other PDA phones (more of a phone than PDA)?

Sony Ericsson P910 (should be around 1 grand)

Sony Ericsson P900 (should be around $800)

or maybe these.... (these are not touch screen though)

Siemans SX1 (special @digital monbile at $800 for 2)

Nokia 6630 (should be under 1 grand, with 1.3 megapixel camera)

Nokia 9500, 9300 (full keyboard, around 1 grand)

I've looking into the sony ericsson ones and they are crap compared to the Nokia7710 ....

And a P910i is approx $1500 ...

The Jam also has 1.3MP camera ..

I have also looked into the communicator phones, the 9500 doesn't have vibrate alert which is very important to me ... and the 9300 isn't as good as the 9500 ... otherwise the 9500 isn't bad of a phone either ... plus price wise is quite high ..

The Nokia 6630 just doesn't cut it ...

Siemens one, .. no thanks ..

Currently i don't want a non-touch screen phone as i want another touch screen phone to play with ...

But thanks with your suggestions ...

Sorry, my bad.... a bit mixed up with other things~

The OS is quite ok actually. I used the Telecom Harrier before (which is same as iMate PDA2k). Quite easy to get around things but Jam has a smaller screen though.

Does the Jam still has Pocket Excel and Word?

1 thing I worry about the Jam is the size and the screen is so exposed. Being a touch screen, they could get damage easily.
