Engine: 15w40 or 20w50 semi synthetic oil

Genuine or Ryco Z88A oil filter

Gearbox : G3 full synthetic or 75w80 full synthetic

Diff: 75W90 full synthetic

for the coolant and power steer fluid i am thinking,

power steer, Dexron II atf. where do you get this from?

coolant, green nulon coolant from supercheap mixed with distilled water

is that right?

i used the red nulon from supercheap

its working fine for me

ok thanks, is there any preference on brands for the fluids?

Elf.

I used Valvoline VR1 in my M20(genuine filter), Elfmatic G3 LL in the Autobox, mobil gear oil in the diff, (from the dealer for like $15/L (get two)

and cheap antifreeze from the radiator place. I've used nulon in another car so that would work.

and you need DextronIII not II. (if anywhere even has DX2 anymore lol)

well i think im going to go redline 75w90 in the diff, but im not sure on the transmission, there are so many different opinions. The manual says sae 80 and has no mention of g3 full syn atf, but i dont know if its the original manual, i cant see a sticker on the trans, but i dont know where to look or it may have come off, some people say bmw only recommended atf because back then there were not gear oils of the correct grade. Atf seems to be recommended for some and not others even though they are all getrag 240's

The trans has hex/allen key drain and fill bolts does that make a difference? im just going to buy the tool to undo the fill bolt stick my finger in and see if its atf or gear oil in there..
