Kaz 64 Report post Posted October 9, 2010 Hi, I'm looking at buying another e30, but there is just one little problem, there are a few small rust patches, such as on the sunroof, and around the holes where the spoiler was. From my first inspection, nothing looked too serious. The car itself is going to be very cheap to buy, and has an (almost complete) ac schnitzer kit, leather interior, nicely lowered on decent rims etc. I'm just wondering if its really going to be worth it getting all the rust repaired and paint touched up (its plain white which makes things easier), or move on and find a different one. I would prefer to pay someone then attempt a DIY job. Thanks for any help!
dubman 39 Report post Posted October 10, 2010 where abouts around the sunroof? Spoiler hole rust is nothing, just buy a boot from wreckers. Cheaper than paint and labour. Check A pillars, fuse box area and battery tray, also interior firewall areas and foot wells. Sounds like a good buy from your descriptions.

I didn't get a good look at it, it was just on the side of the road. Yeah it looked nice as well, I wouldn't mind buying it and fixing it up a little if nothing is too bad.
