E39 & E46 Airbags

Recommended Posts

I have got a 2.5 year old toddler I gotta look after for the next few days which he is still in a car seat etc. What I am wanting to know is if I can turn off the passenger airbag in either my E39 or E46? Figure its better than keeping him in the back so I can keep a better eye on him..

Cheers fellas

No you can't, they simply sense off the sensor in the passenger seat as to ocupation.

Keep him in the back seat

I have my baby seat in the centre rear away from side airbags. I find you can keep a reasonable eye on them.

There is always the boot. BMW trimmed it nicely for a reason...

Oh crap. I forgot about the airbags in the back.... Ill move it to the middle seat in the morning.

I thought about the boot too but I was told not to...
