Andre3000 55 Report post Posted November 2, 2010 Anyone got any info/tips on removing the hand brake cable coupling from the trailing arm (e36 318ti)? I either need to replace the handbrake cable or install a hydraulic handbrake. Has anyone completed either of these and has any info they can share to make it easier? Any help would be appreciated. CamB 48 Report post Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) Do you mean where 1 passes through 5? It can corrode in place. Or do you mean to get 3 off? Remove the spring and its easy (removing the spring isn't - I've done myself an injury doing that when the tool slipped). Andre3000 55 Report post Posted November 3, 2010 Cheers Cam, Yeah 1 through 5, okay that helps a bit i know that more crc and brute force is needed. Yeah those springs are nasty little c**ts, tore my knuckle off the other day investigating. Ill just replace the handbrake cable for now and do the hydrolinking later.
