Dyl 4 Report post Posted January 14, 2011 Remember that white E30 M3 US Spec for sale in the Manawatu? It only disappeared from trademe a coupke of weeks ago. Does anyone remember what dealer it was for sale at? Or for that matter if it sold? I have that familiar feeling again, E30 M3 calling...

Docile 64 Report post Posted January 14, 2011 easy way to search a site is using google power search... try this: 'e30 m3 site: trademe.co.nz' google searches only that site for those keyword.

39KiwiTouring 2 Report post Posted January 14, 2011 I know all the dealers in Plamy can't remember seeing a White M3 E30 on any of them in December. Doesn't mean much though there are some nice machines in dealers sheds at home and at work everywhere, nice little guards red 74 911 on Rangitikei street. E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted January 17, 2011 (edited) It was / is being offered for sale by one of the guys who works at Hoffman's (sorry can't remember the guys name), he used to be an individual dealer in town, now working through them. I would suspect it hasn't sold, I first looked at this car 2+ years ago (same seller) and he was quite happy to keep hold of it, and it has appeared briefly a couple of times since. Guy that use to have a place across the road from new world on Broadway? he had sh*t loads of cars hidden away back there. We talking about the same guy? E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted January 18, 2011 Not sure if this guy had a yard anywhere, I went and saw this car at his house, can't even remember the address - big place up one of the roads off Rangitikei St somewhere. He also had a very nice Mk1 Escort RS for sale at the same time, and I think something like a Triumph Vitesse convertible. Kept them all in a large garage at the back of the house. Carjam shows this recent listing was first registered in Nov 2010 as an 88 model Jap import with lower mileage (48ml/77km) than the earlier 87 car which had 96km on it. Both cars look the same with the same wheels but earlier car had the later M-Technic steering wheel. Are they the same car or is there a third white E30 M3 in Palm Nth ? E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted January 31, 2011 Are they the same car or is there a third white E30 M3 in Palm Nth ?Well spotted that man, and well spotted that it has re-listed, under a different seller. When I saw the photos and the seller, I put two and two together and believed it to be the same car, but on closer inspection it is not. This one is a US spec, with the side marker lights / reflectors in the bumper strip. I might have to have a nosey....

Though saying that, a CF airbox sure sounds nice...are there much power gains to be had though ?

E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted February 2, 2011 ^^This. Apparently this white car is "mint" so maybe worth a few extra $$$s, but there are other E30 M3s from $28k upwards which have been for sale for a long time and not moved.
Old_Skool_Bmw 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2011 (edited) A stock M3 is worth more then a modded one. Though saying that, a CF airbox sure sounds nice...are there much power gains to be had though ? It depends on the mods, in the case of my old M3 I would disagree. It has 17" BBS RS's, custom swede recaro interior, 2.5L engine and CF airbox + motec - all done to compliment the car. adding 'bling' or non performance mods would probably not affect the value as much. EDIT: I made about another 40-50hp with the engine mods. Laurence Edited February 2, 2011 by Old_Skool_Bmw
