Bleeding clutch

Recommended Posts

Not sure what i'm doing wrong.

Transmission has been off and flywheel, clutch, pressure plate and release bearing have been changed.

While everything was off the clutch was hit and the slave cylinder blew out. Slave cylinder has been replaced with a brand new item.

The fluid has been flushed through and bleed with the slave out and bleeder valve facing up(and down and sideways) untill there was no air bubbles coming.

After installing there is still no pressure behind the clutch pedal. The clutch goes in and does not return.

After this I opened the bleed valve while it's in the transmission while the clutch pedal was pressed. Still there is a constant flow free of air.

Im pretty sure the rod tip of the slave cylinder is in the recess of the clutch release lever. This I will be double checking soon.

There does not appear to be any leaks in the clutch hydraulic system

If anyone has any ideas i'm all ears

Problem solved for now it seems. Just removed the slave and bleed again. Didn't do anything different to the last 8 times so I have no idea what was going on.
