Matt 123 Report post Posted April 4, 2011 Anybody else had this happen to them? The fluid seems to be seeping through the seal on the firewall and into the cabin of the car. It is flowing out pretty quickly too, and now my clutch doesn't work. Does it sound like a seal on the master cylinder has gone or something? If I do need to change the master cylinder should I be changing the slave at the same time? Cheers.
Jono51 59 Report post Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) yes and yes is your answer Master cylinder, Edit however check lines to the master too, just incase the slave will most likely be as old as the car and you best change that too for reliability Edited April 4, 2011 by Jono51
Matt 123 Report post Posted April 5, 2011 Cheers for that. I'll get under the car to double check everything but sounds like I'll be adding clutch master and slave to my (long) list of things to buy for this car! I'm just stoked I didn't have the carpet in the car when this happened haha.
