FRANS DE COURT 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2011 I have a 1993 E36 M3, the 3.0lr type and wish to upgrade to a lower ration diff, since i drive the car in the Targas. i'm talking to Mal at Bygone and i hear that Kayne Barrie Motorspor is also v good. can anyone please help me with Kayne's contact ph number? have tried to google and phoned 018 but to no avail. does anyone have any experience with the above exercise? i'm thinking of going from the standard 3.15 to an approx 3.9 , in the Targa events we only need to top out at 200kph. mine is the 5 gear with very long 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears. it has even been suggested to change to a 4.2 ratio ? thanks

morerevsm3 7 Report post Posted April 6, 2011 I have 3.64 diff in mine, and can still hit ~265kph (8100rpm limiter), 3.91 or 4.10 should suit your purpose if you don't drive the car on long road trips
