Bad taste?

Hey guys, need your input on this.

I'm painting a fridge (see pic'), under the 1/8 tape will be red, middle of tape will be gold and the rest of the fridge will be black ( picture in your mind a '30s - '40s safe).

Now i need to know if you all think the iron cross looks like it's hanging, like a medal.

I don't want it to look like that but if it does then i will change it to something else.

I didn't notice how it looked until i took the door off the table and stood it up.

Well it could be lol, just painting it to sell.

I didn't notice when it was lying on table. Stood it up and took a step back and thought 'oh sh*t, that's probably not good' LOL.

get rid of the cross and put a ace there! or nothing, whatevere but i think the Maltese doesnt suit that item.
