E30 Urethane Control arm bushes

Recommended Posts

Is anyone able to elighten me as too why there are e30 control arm bushes with a centered hole and bushes with an offset hole ?

I've been looking all over but cant find any info about the reasons?

Is it a case of one being better than the other, or are they simply for different applications?

Either way, could someone please let me know what I'd need, car is john's old e30 m50, originally a 320i.

Sorry if this has been covered, I couldn't find it with a search

Ah damn, murphys law. As soon as I posted this I found my answer. Feel free to delete!

Edit: cheers nathan, just found it online too :)

Well since I've already started a thread, I may as well check- theres no point in me getting the offset ones, since I have adjustable camber up front with the GC's anyway, right?

Offset ones are to add camber

Not camber... they increase the castor angle, which helps counteract the bad effects of camber

BTW: Kerry @ Mosens sells delrin ones which we have fitted quite alot of for members on here

Delrin is fine for a road car unless your a wuss or a moaning old git.

Kerry sources a quality product and are well recommended by me.

Sweet as, just waiting for another guy to get back to me with prices he can do, but kerry's price seems pretty sharp!

Yeah it's not like my e30 has any element of luxury anyway :P

Will there be much of an improvement without replacing the rest of the steering with a full set similar to what #14 is selling?

Sorry about the possibly stupid questions, I've never done or even researched upgrading these parts so don't really know much about it

^depends what condition the rest of it is in tbh, but i would say you would be better off doing the whole lot at once, that way you wont have to do it again and you know its all good in the front.
