jasmit56 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 Hey guys, I'm looking at buying coil overs for a e46 320i. Stuck between STD coil overs and D2 coil overs. Opinions? swordfish 30 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 (edited) With standard E46 auto I would go for standard strut replacement (Sachs BOGE). Your springs will be more than alive and you will feel lots of difference with the refreshed struts and save lots of money!!! plus it's lifetime warranty for those so if they leak you can replace them for free any time!!! If to spend money on the coilovers save more money and buy a proper kit konis are great from US will usually end up to be around $2000 NZ and they last much longer than billesteins. I myself went for FK coilovers they use Koni adjustable struts and make their springs and bodies them selves. All kits are manufactured in Germany!!! They are becoming pretty big in US now as they are much cheaper than their competitors and tend to be great for street/track user as they are fairly comfortable and are great on the track. Anyway hope this helps. Edited June 23, 2011 by swordfish
