Zinno 320i e30- the story so far

Recommended Posts

My first project car and this is how it's going....

Started out as a Lada spec 320,you know....bottle caps,no fogs, plain grey interior......to put simply.....boring. Been sitting in the garage for 3 years,we have had it for 8 years..only got 120k,and rust free so I thought I'd make it a real minter and only use the e30 parts bin.......so set to work, firstly thanks to everyone up and down the country for sourcing parts that are rare or otherwise...

Now it has....

Been taken apart and everything cleaned, sorted, repainted where necessary.

New badges all round

New fogs and wiring

Changed windows from electric to manual winders (electric ones didn't go and was going to cost to make them)

That required new glass all round new winder internals (from worm drive to cable drive) new door cards ("leather") new centre console (without switches) all looks and works great and factory.

Black kidney grill

Chrome dial surrounds

Clear indicator lenses

Bumper body colour coded

Clear side indicators

Tech1 steering wheel

15" bbs factory basket weaves plus centres all round, new tyres

E30 ac schnitzer pin striping

Race series king springs all round

Race series koni adjustable all round (to come)

New alloy rad

Timing belt,tensioner

New pod filter

New shock mounts

New control arms, bushes, tie rods, rack ends,inner/outer ball joints (to do)

New magna flow 14815 muffler imported

New iS front lip (to come)

Tech 1 rear spoiler (to come)

Been a great project and would recommend, done all myself and taught me heaps about the wee e30 and how easy and cheap parts are to come by and how easy they are to work on.

Thanks again to all the bimmersporters who helped out with info and parts....and for those who want info,or are just getting started, my new found knowledge is available

Cheers

Craig

And oh yeah...pics will be coming as soon as those last few bits are done.
