Richard99 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2011 Hi. On cold mornings, there's an electrical problem in my 1991 850i; the interior lights go off and on, the door doesn't close properly, etc. In searching the internet, I'm pretty sure that the problem is bad capacitors in the general module (GM). I am an engineer, so I don't have a problem getting the caps or soldering them, but I don't know exactly where the GM is. Does anybody know where it is on my car? It's a right hand drive (most of the internet traffic refers to cars in the U.S.) Before I go tearing the dash apart or pulling the carpets up. I'd prefer to have some direction. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Richard
