DrphTa 5 Report post Posted August 3, 2011 Hot motor, distance between the inlet and exhaust cams makes it seem as though its a V engine at first glance :S
E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted August 4, 2011 I must admit, that is one I had not heard of before, but according to www.touringcarracing.net there were definately two different versions of CSL, pictures show distinctly different cars, one turbo, one not. $toffz 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2011 ^ Really? I have plenty of pictures claiming the car is the CSL Turbo but none of the engine bay to prove it... If you find any please post link/picture.
E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted August 6, 2011 The most famous CSL Group 5 Turbo would have to be the Frank Stella "art car", unfortunately as it is an art piece most photos only concentrate on the outside of the car, with very little detail of the mechanicals, even though it was a flly fledged race car. Not the real thing, but a photo shot of the engine bay from one of the die-cast models of the art car:
