bretta 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2011 Hi I have a '98 Maxima that has a problem with the charging light staying on until the engine gets to about 3000 - 3500 rpm before going off. Then it sometimes stays off, but sometimes comes on until the revs get up again. I have checked the belt, and it appears to be tensioned ok. The Battery is coming up about 2 years old, and was a slightly heavier duty than the standard (but still a recommended type). The altenator was replaced (again) about 4 years ago. Can anyone point me to a possible problem in either battery or altenator, or something else? Thanks in advance Brett
