e36m42 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2005 I want to transplant a e36 M3 engine in my current 1994 e36 m42 bema, I know I will have to change my suspension and brakes, what else am I looking at changing, also where would be a good place to buy this engine from, I want to try and buy the engine cheap (but not broken cheap) as once I have the engine in I want to spend the money on installing a supercharger/turbo depending on what is required, in line with this I also want to know anyones views on exhuasts and wether I should take out the cat conv and if I do this what ecu is going to be best for all this, also what gear box and clutch sys should I use for this power upgrade, another q is the flywheel light enough or do you suggest upgrading this also, as you are probably aware I want to do this properly so any other ideas would be great

Guest Spargo Report post Posted May 28, 2005 S50 lump = 9K NZ, shipping extra. S50 'box = 3K NZ, shipping extra. Brakes + suspension = sky is the limit, what do you want to achieve. New propshaft = 500 NZ New Diff = 1K NZ Then add into that, labour... Just go buy an M3 already!
