Because the normal e36 uses larger diameter springs comparedto m3, which uses e30 diameter springs. And the normal e36 hub will keep the wheel off center. (Not trying to be a d*ck, just clarifying) no matter what you use will be off centre slightly, hence using Evo m3 arms , offset control arm bushes and camber/ castor plates to improve caster,this is the trade off that you get when going to 5 lug in this situation and many have done it. as for the spring they fit in the strut tower otherwise I wouldn't have bothered.I've offered it for sale, as i'm about to build another car, and thought it a shame to part it all out, as someone here may find some use for it, failing that I could always aborb all the parts into my fleet of vehicles over time cheers Edited December 15, 2011 by JKSE Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
