fizzychicken 1 Report post Posted December 28, 2011 Hi all My 1998 318ti has started to want to steer to the left far more than your would expect from the camber of the road but it is only doing it when Im going 40 or higher, at slow speed it will drive true. I have had a wheel alignment done and all the pressure/tyres checked (I cant rotate them as I have directional tyres) and all has come back fine but the problem still exists. any suggestions of what else I should investigate as the cause of the problem? fizzychicken 1 Report post Posted December 28, 2011 Checked all tyres and full wheel alignment front and back, all reports indicating that it is not the cause of the steering.
*Glenn* 854 Report post Posted December 28, 2011 Try changing the wheels around temporarily, just to see if the problem still exists or try another set of wheels on the car...preferably off a car you know that tracks straight... as Ron said ..it may still be a tyre problem
Jono51 59 Report post Posted December 31, 2011 You should have a print out of the wheel alignment, post up the figures also have a mechanic check the car over for worn suspension components
