Michael. 2313 Report post Posted January 6, 2012 (edited) Yesterday I was removing some under dash panels to check something unrelated, then I noticed a slightly wet surface on some A/C ducting, then a small green coolant drip sitting on the edge of one of the casings, presumably the heater matrix in the car has developed a small leak...... Whats the usual way to fix this? Replace the core with one that's not leaking? (I imagine that would be a hell of a job stripping most of the dash back....) or Just block off the heater port in the engine bay so no coolant flows to the heater matrix and blow the remaining coolant out with a compressor (yes I will loose my hot air in winter) Any tips would be a appreciated. antil33t 90 Report post Posted May 13, 2012 Old Thread, if you haven't fixed it yet. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showt...d.php?t=1328893 I'm about to fix mine, If it's anything like the E30's it's probably just the o-rings or a plastic pipe rather than the core itself. 'The whole Behr core kit from Pelican is like 200usd, and it has EVERYTHING you need. I'm thinking just ordering all the o-rings, whick it all apart, and hope like sh*t the core isn't stuffed. Stupid leaking heater core, mine actually smells and fogs up the windscreen.
