I do know the difference being on a few before. anyway mine has V-brakes currently. What is involved in converting to disks? is it just a case of buying calipers and disks or do i need new hub assembly and/or wheels? elmarco 56 Report post Posted January 27, 2012 The other thing to consider is does the frame have mounts on it? Nothing wrong with good V-brake setups. My old hardtail runs Avid Single Digit SL's and they are 10x better than my wifes Hayes hydraulic discs.
