wtb : replacement wheels for e28

Recommended Posts

Guest Simon*

They should be fine

The only funny in your case would be E39 wheels - would require hub centric rings

yes they will work but you will need hub rings .

also look out for the e38 version of the same wheel , they are 8" wide and et23 .

so just be carfull with your tyre choice (width and rim protector size) otherwise they might rub on the inside of the front struts

i use a set of these with my semi slicks 225 wide on my e28 .

had them before as road wheels with bridgestone grid3 tyres 225/50-16 but they rubbed a bit on the inside , so just made small dent in the strut tube for clearance.

16x7 is better fit to E28 and tyre must use 215 50 or 55 R16 not 225.

and I dont know 16x 8 will fit.I fit 16x8 to my e39 and it become outer,I think will touch the inner guard if for E28.

rings try Jono @ magswheels direct.I have been bought a set from JONO

i have the e38 type , so has a mate of mine . you dont need hub rings with them .

16" by 8" ET23

225/50-16" tyre , just make the tyre doesn't have a big rim protector lip .

plenty of clearance at the edge of the guards etc

see pic below

i now run 235/45-17" on 17" by 8" with et20 m5 throwing star wheels with no problems ,and the car is lower than in the pic with the 16" wheels
