Rising Rate FPR

Recommended Posts

tim....you got one...did it make a difference

just wondering if its worth it on a NA m20, with my mods i think it would help a bit...basically just increases the fuel pressure as it senses vacuum (in lieu of boost).

thoughts?

Not 100% on all of this but the way i understand it thats just what a normal FPR does, with a RRFPR the ratio to which it will increase the pressure to vacuum is different, like 1:1.5 say. Why not just get an adjustable normal FPR. Apologies if i am completely wrong.

i shoulda included that too.....thought that could be a possibility...no boost doesnt help....haha

adjustable one....would that increase fuel pressure?

yeah adjustable ups fuel pressure. (I still think my idea of blocking the vacuum line would work).

apparently you can squish the stock FPR......but also apparently it needs 5-6 to "get it right"

sounds fun, and my sorta mod

vice = power

Would it be possible to find another FPR of a diffferent engine and put that it? Like an M3 or M30 or something that runs a higher fuel pressure? Why do you want to change it anyway? I wouldn't have thought it would make much difference unless you were leaning out.

Yes i have one.

it increases 5-7psi when on load.

you set the idle pressure and when on load it increases + 5-7psi

good for to compenstate the leaning out at higher rpm with the motronic setup

there is a much cheaper way to do Tim's setup.

Simply put a restrictor in the return line after the fuel pressure regulator and bingo more fuel pressure. Make a nice job of it and its adjustable. badass.

I'd be wary of adding more fuel. Bear in mind motronic is trying its best to run the car as lean as possible to get more power. So unless you have some problems with the AFR going spastic and really high - I wouldn't change anything.
