BMW POWER 2 Report post Posted July 5, 2005 Bah - Another sad sad tale of "Sacked and rolling on chromies" Poor Bimmer. Apparantely it can't even do a full lock. The springs are cut, as one of my mates already showed me this pic, and explained about it :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

cainchapman 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 It looks OK to me. I wouldn't want to drive it. Fix the bonnet fit and get the foglights back in there and it will be heaps nicer.

aliluya 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 (edited) I think it looks pretty good ... just need to fix up some minor bit to make it look nicer and lower ... First paint the sideskirt and front bumper to match the rest of the paint. Second put some matching colour fog covers or get some fogs back in there. Thirdly fix the bonnet. Forthly Tinted windows ... Oh and some europlates just to finish it off ... nice .. And think with those things done i'd really like the car .. Put something original BMW or vaguely good loooking. Clear it all out (fronts sides rears) M3 Wing mirrors Heighten it. (I never thought i'd actually say heighten a car, EVER) MTECH front bumper. Now that would be a mean bimmer

Surge 1 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 Take away chromes. Put something original BMW or vaguely good loooking. Clear it all out (fronts sides rears) M3 Wing mirrors Heighten it. (I never thought i'd actually say heighten a car, EVER) MTECH front bumper. Now that would be a mean bimmer I can agree with the clears and a few other bits, however if everyone did these exact things we'd all end up with cars that looked the same. By dropping it that low the owner was obviously trying to be differet - for his sake I hope that car is airbagged so he can pass over anything thats not perfectally flat! I loathe the early non-painted plastic bumpers, but I can't agree with just putting on an Mtech front bumper, if you want your car to stand out you don't put the most subtle motorsport bumper BMWs made on it - E36 M3's have to be the most subtle M3's to date, and you see loads of other e36s fully kitted out in mtech gear. I'm not sure what I'd put on though.... In saying that, I personally love the 'M look' all over but when someone drops the car that low and puts large wheels that comprimise the turning circle and buff the inside of the wells with rubber every time you turn - I don't think they like the stock look, so slapping on some 'tastefull - by our standards' mags wouldn't be on the cards. Munts316i 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 meh paint the body kit and give it some clear lights. then it would be pimpin. hope its bagged, otherwise I'd hate to sit in the back. love blatently low cars thou, hate to drive them. love to look at them. also re those mods: not everything done to a bmw has to be made by bmw :thumb:
E30_318i 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 I was in town today and saw what looked like a hard riding luxury Japanese import from Nissan I think, tricked out in all this pimp bullshit. f**k, its as bad a rice. Save the old bimmers and mercs before these f**king wannabies wreck them. My dads mate whos a classic car owner and enthusiast goes mental when he sees an old Impala or Caddilac gone to waste. Don't balme him.
petone 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 I'm glad to see the cutties and cromies brigade havn't started destroying Porsches yet, some of those 924 and 944 are getting pretty affordable. But sadly it is too late for some of the old mercs, bimmers etc
ED1RTY 2 Report post Posted July 7, 2005 I have read on another website this car is also the home to 131 decibels worth of sound setup. There is nothing wrong with a slammed out car, if you want it for plain show but when you start taking things like this onto the road and actually destroying them it get out of hand. I'd definatly say no to cutties under any circumstance (unless it was a jappa thrash car). Get bags or coilovers. Least then you will have some control at speed and on corners. I agree with painting the kit, clear lights are for chiks........ They just look wierd on a guys car. Go smoked. Just looks like rims and cutties though in all respect, nothing special, dodgy work on a nice car. But still PIMPIN ........ almost
