Charles200 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2012 self leveling suspension fault. you dont want that light to come up. the rear suspension in the car has airbags instead of springs. they will fail eventually, they all do. just replaced mine, all up about $
yng_750 247 Report post Posted April 26, 2012 so i should remove the bulb now while eveything is still all good?
nath 134 Report post Posted April 26, 2012 Assuming it is the 540i, unless an oddly spec'd sedan or a touring, it is unlikely to have self levelling. Generic cluster. Just like my tin- top 318iS has glow plug light place and rag top roof light etc.

yng_750 247 Report post Posted April 26, 2012 it has the electronic sport suspension button that stiffens everything up very noticeably i might add
antil33t 90 Report post Posted April 26, 2012 If you do the cluster test it should illuminate that bulb if it's installed..
Charles200 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2012 ah yes sorry, tourings had the air suspension, sedans didn't. im guessing yours is a sedan? the dash installed in them is probably the same
