shadowninja 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2005 Contisports are awesome yes, but expensive!! I've gotta replace my front two feet soon(ish) & will have to price them out again to see if its worth it.
aliluya 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2005 Yes contisports are good ... my rear's just got replaced at approx 31000kms ... @ 410+gst a pop ...
my_e36 43 Report post Posted July 9, 2005 good stuff~ loved the rims maybe some clear sides lights?
Dnz 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2005 Yeah i never got around to doing the rear corners.. I was happy with my falken azenis, then had the gt radials for a while which sucked.. but these ones rock. The combination of extra width, and tyre actually makes the ride awesomely smooth, you feel like no road noise/vibration even way into the high 100's. Theyre rather good indeed. Go the germans. Oh yeah my previous wheels were just reg sports package ones, they were nice, but it was time to move on. Maybe ill have clear rears and all my exterior trim replaced by track day. Especially since its good for Hp. :mosh:

Rod 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2005 Definitely a nice set of wheels. Recently I put a new set of Pirelli P7000 on my E28, $250 each from Herb Morgan Tyres in Onehunga. It was their last set however they appear to be able to provide a good deal on most tyres. Size is 235/45-17, the ride is a bit harsh at low speeds on uneven tarseal, however the suspension as it is a bit tired. See how it rides/handles after a suspension upgrade. These new tyres provide good grip wet or dry, with the E28 tall gearing (auto) they have not let go, yet.
bmwsparkle 3 Report post Posted July 10, 2005 you managed to fit 235s at the front? do they rub? i was told that 225 was the biggest you can fit at the front on E28s, Pics man?
Dnz 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2005 Pics of wide tyres or ban. 235's are pretty damn wide for a front, more than what most have at the back!

318is 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2005 Agreed - no wing. E36's don't suit a wing for some reason...

cainchapman 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2005 I'm with Gus. It already has an M3 front. Finish it off with the rear spoiler and boot spoiler. Will look hot on a black beast. Pirelli P7000 are a good tire, not up to much on the track though. Like the wheels.
E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted July 11, 2005 New Wheels, Hoorah! It was about time. I now got 225's in front and 245's in back with contisports - an awesome tyre. I know the car is dirty, blame the weather. And eventually ill tidy up the rotor/caliper area... Oem wheels represent! Looks good, I just sold a set of those wheels on tardme for a friend, 17x8" right.I'm running the same size tyres on my E30, they are a v.nice tyre. FYI, I can fit the 245/40's on the front of the E30 quite happily, it is common to run the wider tyres on the front also with E36's to stop them understeering. Shadow: Care to donate your old fronts to the cause again
Dnz 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2005 hey thanks for the info! Im afraid im not worried about understeer tho
