Using 215/45/17 instead of 225/45/17 on front

Hi team,

Just wondering if its ok to run 215/45/17 tyres on the front instead of the recommend 225/45/17?

Would there be any issues?

Looking at gettings these for my M Sport wheels for $600.

I personally wouldn't.

No real 'technical' reason to back it up.

The OD of the 215/245 Vs 225/245 may trigger issues with the ABS system.

And $2000 for 2nd hand tyres seem way too much IMHO

I use to get 245/40 Conti SCII's for $70ea with that sort of tread.

you mention $600 for them, know the seller / mates rates??

2x 225/45/17 and 2x 245/40/17.

We sell a lot of the Toyo T1 Sport and are getting great feedback about them. They are easily the equivalent of the Bridgestone RE002 and probably better then the Goodyear Eagle F1. You are looking at $1200 for a set fitted and balanced, new with suppliers warranty, cheers.

wiser to go wider. and also dont buy china - made tyres of any make/model unless strapped for cash
