coynz 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2012 Does anyone in the wellington region have the pressing tool for the E36 RTAB that I can borrow or hire?

coynz 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2012 Thanks sp8s but have already tried that. The bushings I have are the later BMW upgrade ones so they dont have the outside metal lip on them. The pipe caps just slip over either end.
Michael. 2313 Report post Posted May 28, 2012 (edited) I used the pipe cap method, worked a treat (but at least I had the earlier bushings) If you want to stiffen up the rear, I think it's worth upgrading the RTAB with Powerflex urethane ones + the Vorshlag limiter spacers. I did that 18 months ago and it's been awesome ever since, no more sloppy rear end. A touch harsh on our crappier roads, but not that bad. Edited May 28, 2012 by Michael. coynz 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2012 Got a set of TMS limiter to go in when i figure a way to press the bushings Just brought all the rear bushings so hoping to get them all done this year, rear sub chassis doesnt look fun. Saving up to do the reinforcement plates at the same time if I can find a mobile welder around wellington. Been slowly working my way down the car. Front bushing, control arms, steering rods, shocks and springs all round been replaced. Installed the x-bar last weekend. The front so tight its made the rear feel 10 times worse.
