gunter 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2012 Hi there, So the rack in my E30 325i was making horrific noises so I sourced another and installed it. Everything went swimmingly until I came to putting the column linkage back on. Its the type with the two universals and the rubber disc in the middle. The new rack came with the same linkage but upon trying to refit it it seems to be short by about 20mm. I measured the length of each linkage old and new and from the top of the spline to the cross member on each rack and they're the same so I'm stumped. Any ideas?
