allan 295 Report post Posted July 22, 2012 Have been checking some wiring circuits lately and have a couple of colours not to sure on can some one help with the abbreviations. The one's I'm not sure about are Purple or Lila German for it I'm told thinking either LI or LA [/center] Pink Rosa RO, RA Magenta Purpur PU, PR Orange Orange OR, OESome seem to be the first two letters of the word while others are the first and last and some don't make any sense ie Gray Grau GR Red Rot RT White Weib WSThanks for your help Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
jochen 4 Report post Posted July 24, 2012 The abbreviations colours are always based on logical German abbreviation of the colour. Mostly very clear and unique, eg Schwarz = SW, Orange = OR, Rot = RT, Weiss = WS The one that always catches me out is Grau or Grün: GR could be either, so at that stage I look at the physical wire to be sure which it is ...
