e30 ball joint boots

I thought I'll share what universal boot protectors fit e30's and where I bought them. (mine were new Viaco ones, original ones should be same size)

It's always a good idea to get new ones after you mangle/rip your old ones in the process of removing stubborn joints from e30 struts. These were ~$7 each, and comes with retainer spring collars.

To re-attach:

Tie rods: Use small cable ties to secure the top from opening during movement, use supplied retainers for the bottom

Control arms: Use small cable ties to secure the top from opening during movement, use OEM original retainer for the bottom because the supplied ones won't hold it down during movement

I used a lithium based grease and made sure no contaminants were inside.
