Brad-325i 2 Report post Posted August 31, 2012 Hey guys, started a couple weeks ago and has gotten progressively worse. When turning either left or right i get a loud squeaking coming from the front right shock area. also happens when i hit any little bump in the road and when i bounce on the front of the car. seems to be worse when its cold. if i fully lock it left and right a couple times the squeak almost goes away but recently this hasnt been the case. im thinking the shock may be stuffed? or could the spring have moved and is possibly rubbing on something? the shocks are roughly 3 to 4 years old. any ideas would be a great help?? 95 325i coupe manual. Michael. 2313 Report post Posted August 31, 2012 I would inspect the strut top hats. They take the majority of the suspension load through a hard rubber mounted bearing, so could well cause a squeak if they are knackered
