tyr262 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2012 I just finished with a manual conversion project on my 1993 525i. Everything went in fine. The only problem I have now is that the front seems way too high. Is there a difference in spring height between the auto and manual version? Or could it be that the shocks or springs on the back are worn and therefore the front seems high? Any advice is greatly appreciated....
BM WORLD 1283 Report post Posted September 27, 2012 yes that will happen as the auto gearbox weigh heaps more than the manual gearboxes. all the cars i have converted e36 e34 etc all have lifted up at the front when you order springs from bmw , they have a options list of things to be ticked if you r car has a/c , sunroof , coupe or sedan , towbar , auto , manual , mtec kit etc etc then it works out the spring rates
