Coromandel Accommodation

I'm looking for any kind of accommodation in Waihi from the 26th Dec to the 28th Dec, (going to gigs at the Waihi Beach Hotel on those two nights).

Ideal would be somewhere where we can turn up on the 26th and leave on the 29th.

Does anyone have, or know of, a bach that will be available? Happy to pay obviously, can't find anywhere - I guess it's pretty late in the year all of a sudden!

Will only be a small group, about 6 of us.

Even keen on a lawn to pitch a tent, or, if nothing else, a driveway to park in and sleep in our cars would also be sweet.

me and some of my mates tried everything, aparently it starts booking up in september!!! going in late Jan now thats the best we could get lol

Yeah book a bach is all gone/need 7 night minimum stay, same with the campgrounds. Looking like we'll have to miss Chase and Status on the 28th and just go find a doc camp somewhere instead.

Anyone got any other suggestions? Like I said, even a driveway to park in would be sweet! We could make ourselves scarce all day so we don't bother you as well.

Have you tried for tent/van sites at Beachhaven and top 10? Always had better luck with these then cabins and batches. What about Bowentown? Get your self on cancellation lists too.

Yeah man, they all have 7 night minimum stay in that period, and I've contacted them all personally and been denied. Might give it another go soon, maybe they'll be more keen to fill left over spaces closer to the time.
