Wom 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2013 Hi Car = 1996 E36 323i Coupe, Jap import The left brake light stopped working, so I pulled the bulb and it was rather brown. I replaced it with a new one ... but still not going. My first thought was the contacts on the little plastic unit you put the bulb into, gave them a going over with a wire brush, put the bulb back in, still not going. I then switched over the plastic unit with the working right hand side, and it goes on the right but not the left. So it's not the bulb, and it's not the contacts on the little platsic bulb holder .... I looked into the plastic housing where the bulb unit goes in, gave the contact in there a scrubbing with the wire brush ... still not going. All the other lights are fine, so I don't think it's a fuse ... what else should I look for? Cheers
