fhall 3 Report post Posted April 4, 2013 I've just bought a manual conversion kit and I think before I put it in, I'm better to put a short shifter in while I have the gearbox out. My question is... is it possible to cut the original shifter below the ball and weld a piece of material in to make it longer and therefore making the shifter shorter? Or are short shifters cheap enough to buy? I can't seem to find any. Cheers

_BRS_ 209 Report post Posted April 4, 2013 Talk to kerry at Mosens in Hamilton! z3 short shifter, also ask for the brass sleeve that goes in the top knuckle as well, if he still does them. Myself and a few others have done this.
