qube 3568 Report post Posted April 19, 2013 i am using 10-30 fully synthetic castrol edge in my e34 m30b35 (just becasuse i have it at home and use it for the other cars) but ive been told its okay to use, 10-40 is okay too, and you can go semi synthetic or fully synthetic. no such thing as "right" oil, but those two oil grades are safe to use without problems Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
kiwi535 538 Report post Posted April 19, 2013 on the rare occasion my 535 saw the inside of the dealers workshop(ie they have a deal on oil services or warrants.it used to get the castrol synthetic.I used to buy 6l at a time and a filter from the dealer for a good price too.Considering you would have to buy 8l from repco or wherever.
