halkelorno 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2013 Hi to all, I am a nooby to this site, and having recently acquired a BMW am looking for advice on how to replace the Kidney grills. I have a 2010 120 I M series 5 door hatchback and I want to change the all black grills to a black and chrome type, which I feel will look better with the sparkling white paint work. I have visited many sites which gave heaps of info, some of which I am reluctant to try eg " Use a block of wood against the grill and give a sharp bang with a hammer, and Lo the grill pops out. Not on my baby. I have undone the Torx screws on the top frame and removed the rubber seal, as advised, but no way can I get my hand in any where to get access to the grill spring clips. Do I have to remove the whole front section panel?? Advice needed. Thanks
Escay 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2013 Hold your breath and just pull the front bumper outwards. slide your hand in with a flathead screwdriver to push down on the clips. It does take a bit of force.
