hotwire 352 Report post Posted May 15, 2013 Just get a replacement fitted. It is only a trim - the screen is glued in.
Tristan 338 Report post Posted May 15, 2013 (edited) Hi mate I bought the part from Team McMillan and fitted it myself quite easily. I can't remember who I asked but they said that I needed to have the windscreen taken out (and associated higher cost) but I'd read on the M5Board(?) that it could be done without removing. IIRC part was about $130. Have a Google, there's a guide around somewhere. jeffbebe 1560 Report post Posted May 15, 2013 Yep, it's easy. I did front and back on mine. Buy online or from one of forum sponsors that stocks new parts (I know that Gavin @ Euroitalia or Brent @ BMWorld do) as it will be way cheaper.

hotwire 352 Report post Posted May 16, 2013 Cant see how you need to remove the screen to fit the trim. The screen is eurothaned in, how the hell can you fit the screen in the first place with the trim already fitted?
RustyItalian 11 Report post Posted May 16, 2013 Be a bugger if your windscreen cracked and you had to get a brand new BMW one fitted with a brand new BMW seal... ;-)
