kwhelan 241 Report post Posted May 16, 2013 (edited) replaced water pump 3 yrs ago,done less than 30k and after hearing a noisy bearing rattle somewhere in the front for last few weeks I suddenly noticed that I can grab the fan and move it,pulley and all, can the bearing fail like that with the seal still intact, googling people say the viscous fan can also collapse but this seems to be the whole pulley and shaft loose so suspecting pump. Is it likely Ive got idler pulley or some sort of belt path issue,why would a pump fail so quickly,so disappointing can anyone quote on replacement pump,alloy fin preferred to plastic Edited May 16, 2013 by kwhelan Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
